Seminar Series

We are a full service networking and computer Security Company. As business partners with Microsoft, HP and others, we see a significant new trend that is not yet common knowledge.

As consultants, we have condensed this information into a series of free non-technical luncheon seminars. It has to do with information exchange and a computer communications standard called XML.

Revolutionary or not, simply knowing about it can be of value.

We all know businesses run by having good policies and systems for accounting, sales, communications and the rest. Larger companies have been investing in programs that integrate those systems for some time now. While it has been complex and expensive, their incentives include lower operating costs and meeting customer expectations.

What we see, is a whole new set of tools and techniques that will give all businesses the ability to streamline their business practices. Within that XML is going to be a big part of it because, it is a major standard that will enable communications between our own numerous programs, the internet and the rest of the world.

In a simple example, XML enabled programs like; accounting, sales and email will agree on just one source for customer contact data.

In a simple example, XML will enable different departments like accounting, sales and purchasing to agree on just one source for contact data. XML will be the glue that lets these varied programs work as one big information system.

In a more involved internet world, XML enabled customers might expect to see their invoice or transaction history.

Seminars are designed for non-technical managers and IT people,
they are condensed to 45 minutes each

Directions to Seminar
The first seminar introduces the new direction. The rest drill down on major elements.

  1. Streamlining Business Processes: Outlines the XML standard and focuses on a live demonstration that integrates a paper filing system with a computer information system and a modern phone system. While integrating paper, data and voice is typically difficult the system will generate information that is much more valuable than without integration.

  2. Security: From Internet threats to fires in document storage, 7 steps to securing data. Who doesn’t need industrial strength protection for anti-virus, firewalls, backups and how can you know that your critical computer data and paper files are secure? Join us. Dealing with data disasters before they happen is So much easier.

  3. Paper: Converting paper filing hassles into secure data files for quick, easy access for 1/6 the monthly cost of a $10/hr filing clerk. This is new technology and shows filing cabinet alternatives that enable an appropriate person on the network or the Internet to find any document at any time. Scales to millions of documents and integrates them to your “Data Core”.

  4. Voice: MODERN Phone Systems can help provide awesome service. We will show how they adapt to future technology and even now integrate with Outlook/ACT, time billing and other programs to help provide advanced service and smooth operations.

  5. Computers: Radical tools for cutting computer problems and stabilizing cost with Terminal server, thin clients, Linux, Star-Office or subscription PC where you don’t own the problem.

  6.  Video: From simple to conference room quality. The power is here and if you have multiple locations and a hi-speed internet connection, the price is like "why not do it".
